Words and knowledge surround me.
Dusty tomes of forgotten lore
Sit in their long unseen shelves.
Eyes of man have not looked upon this room for dust filled centuries.
This is my domain.
This room in the mists of memory,
My sanctuary
Safe for always
Only invaded now by your presence
You disturb the dust
Disorder my books
And let in light through these tattered curtains.
You take down my books
Flip through their pages
And read to me of their history.
You read to me to make me smile.
You read to me
And I smile.
Emotion cracks apathy like that old and dusty mirror
Shards of contentment reflect through my room
As you read to me of the past.
Seated side by side we listen to the light
We both read of the past
We sit here and we both dream
We both dream of tomorrow’s future
And of the past that none can remember.

i like how the newcomer is like a breath of fresh air in a musty old room of memories, its really sweet
woot and stuff
"Flip through their pages
And read to me of their history."
that bit is the so beautiful and it just gets even better from there.

Neutral nothings notice nonchalance, nodding nominally.
Or others opting out of opinionated oracles orchestrating our opus.
Thankyou.
